BCCI suggests change – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi expressed his willingness to consider a bilateral series with India on Monday, contingent on Team India participating in the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
However, reports from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suggest a different scenario.
There is even speculation about a possible change of venue or the adoption of a hybrid model for the tournament. The BCCI would need government permission to travel and given the current tense relations between India & Pakistan, such approval is uncertain.
According to a report by Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), BCCI sources indicated that not only is a bilateral series unlikely, but there are also doubts over India’s participation in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.BCCI suggests change

The Indian board would need permission from the government to travel, currently, our relations with Pakistan are also not that good,” the source added.
Even though the Champions Trophy is an ICC event, India’s participation depends on government directives.
“The Champions Trophy is an ICC event, so it would be a difficult decision for India, but nothing without the green order/signal from the government. “I don’t see bilateral series shortly, that’s almost impossible,” the source added.
The prospects for a bilateral series appear bleak; The last such series between India and Pakistan took place in 2012-13. India’s refusal to play in Pakistan led to the adoption of a hybrid model for the Asia Cup last year, with matches held mainly in Sri Lanka.
